This catalogue, published on July 1st 2000, gives an overview of the more than 400 works acquired by the Kröller-Müller Museum from the 1970s onwards in a series of purchases and acquisitions from the private collection of Martin, Mia and Geertjan Visser. The first part of the publication consists of a few introductory paragraphs. These are in both Dutch and English; the catalogue part is only in English and consists of a discussion of the works per artist followed by information on and illustrations of the works themselves. The publication is organized in alphabetical order of the artists’ names and the works chronologically per artist. Many of the works are accompanied by an explanatory text.
A year after publication of the catalogue, in July 2001, a sturdy supplement was brought out. This occurrence is typical of the Vissers and of the relationship that the museum has had with the collectors under two directorates. The catalogue and the supplement are available in an attractive presentation box.
