Purchasing from the KMM Online Shop

Payments, security and privacy

You can pay at the KMM Online Shop with a credit card (VISA, Master) and in the Netherlands via I-deal. We do not send packages COD.

The information you are asked to provide, such as your personal data and the credit card number, are used only to process your order and for our own administration. Without your prior permission the information is not used for other commercial or non-commercial purposes that are not directly related to the Kröller-Müller Museum or the KMM Online Shop.

The shop’s software may possibly use cookies in order to maintain a check on your shopping cart and to register your name and address for a subsequent visit to our site. The cookies are not used to store credit card information.

Cancellations, exchanges and guarantee

If you wish to cancel your order without charge, please contact the KMM Online Shop as soon as possible. If your order has already been sent, you can use our exchange and guarantee arrangement. If within a period of seven working days after delivery you wish to cancel your order or if you are dissatisfied – for any reason at all – with some or all of the goods you have received, you can send them back to the KMM Online Shop in order to exchange them or to get your money back. However the goods must be returned within seven working days of your having received them. The shipping charges are your responsibility. We recommend that you use recorded or registered post when returning goods to us.

Within reason we shall do everything possible to exchange damaged or wrong goods, but if it is not possible to exchange such goods, the full amount you paid for your order will be returned to you. When returning goods, please state clearly whether you wish to have a replacement article or your money back.
If your order has not been delivered within thirty days of the maximum duration of the agreement (see below: Dispatching your order) you can immediately cancel the order. In such a case please contact the KMM Online Shop via our contact page. Back to top

Dispatching your order
Under normal circumstances, when sending packages at home and abroad, the KMM Online Shop uses TNT Post’s parcel post. As soon as your order reaches your country, the package passes into the hands of your national postal company. You can use the Track & Trace system to follow orders weighing more than 2 kg within the Netherlands and the EU. Express orders are handled by FedEx, again with the possibility of using Track & Trace.

Shipping charges depend on the destination and the weight of the package, which consists of the sum of the weight of the standard packaging (0.2 kg) and the weight of the separate articles. The maximum weight of a single package is 10 kg. Once your shopping trolley has reached the maximum weight, you cannot add any more articles. If you wish to order more products, first deal with what you have already ordered and then continue to put a second package together. Shipping charges will then be calculated separately for the second package. You can find the total weight of your order in your shopping trolley; the shipping charges are calculated as soon as you state the destination.

Posters are packed in tubes with a maximum of three posters per tube. Orders are sent in a single package to the extent that this is possible. If it is necessary to spread your order over several packages, you pay only the shipping charges on a single package until the maximum weight is reached.

If you have your order delivered to an address outside the EU it is possible that you may have to pay import duties and VAT since you are, after all, involved in the import of goods. And though you do not do the importing yourself – a courier company does it for you – you will have to meet the import duties and taxes through the courier. Please contact your national customs authorities to ask what the maximum amount is for which you can import goods without having to pay duties or taxes.

The agreement period starts the moment you receive our confirmation of dispatch of your order. The time stated here is based on estimates of availability, a normal state of affairs and the time that the postal authorities take to make a delivery. So the agreement period is no more than an indication. The agreement period in working days for normal dispatches of packages within the Netherlands is 3 to 6 days, within the EU between 4 and 11 days and outside the EU between 7 and 21 days. The agreement period for FedEx dispatches is between 1 and 3 days. In the pre-Christmas fortnight your package can be subject to extra delay. If you do not have a credit card or you wish to order other articles from the Museum Shop...

If you do not possess a credit card or if you have seen an article in the Museum Shop that does not figure in the online shop, you can still place an order with us in the following way: Send us an e-mail via the contact page of the KMM Online Shop requesting a Pro Forma Invoice. It helps to process your order quickly if you give a careful description of the article you wish to order – choice of language, size or colour and so on. In addition we need your full address for the invoice and in order to send you the goods. We will send you your order once the Pro Forma Invoice has been paid. Back to top

The KMM Online Shop conditions of sale

Validity:
These conditions of sale regulate the sale and delivery of goods to you by the Online Shop of the Kröller-Müller Museum. The KMM Online Shop can adjust these conditions from time to time. Any such adjustments will be communicated via the KMM Online Shop site.

The agreement between you and the KMM Online Shop:
As soon as the KMM Online Shop has confirmed your order via e-mail, an agreement between you and the KMM Online Shop is established. The KMM Online Shop retains the right to limit the number of products in an order.

Prices and availability:
The prices of the goods are specified on the KMM Online Shop site. This information can be changed without warning. Every price stated on the site is inclusive of VAT at Dutch rates. Extra costs are included for shipping. Such costs vary with the destination chosen. Some goods can be limited in number. If a particular article turns out to be no longer in stock, you will be paid back the purchase price (inclusive shipping charges) as quickly as possible.

Delivery of your order:
The KMM Online Shop will dispatch your order to the address you have given us. The delivery times stated on the KMM Online Shop site are merely indicative. Your credit card will be charged during the processing of your order. The goods will be in your possession as soon as the full amount has been paid. The goods are your responsibility from the time of delivery.

Guarantee and exchange policy:
If for any reason whatsoever you are dissatisfied with some or all of the goods you have received, you can send them back to the KMM Online Shop to exchange them or to request your money back. However the goods must be sent back within seven working days of your receiving them. We recommend that you use recorded or registered delivery when returning goods. Within reason we shall do everything possible to exchange damaged or wrong goods, but if it is not possible to exchange such goods the full amount you paid for your order will be returned to you.

Applicable law:
Agreements between you and the KMM Online Shop fall under Dutch law. Dutch law applies to agreements relative to the supply of articles from the KMM Online Shop and to the establishment of such agreements between you and the KMM Online Shop. With regard to differences arising from or related to agreements between you and the KMM Online Shop, the District Court of Arnhem (Netherlands) is competent.
